OVERVIEW

Pinehurst Toyota was sorely in need of a renovation. The facility was old and had not participated in an image update program in a number of years. The Phil Smith Auto Group tasked ID Automotive to help them build a fresh modern facility that was representative of the brand. ID Automotive coordinated the selection of the Architect and the GC. Once the first drafts of the new building were completed, they were reviewed and approved by Southeast Toyota Distributors for adherence to their brand identity program. This was a two-phased project designed to help minimize interruption to the business. The project called for the construction of the new service building behind the existing dealership. Once completed, service was relocated, sales was moved into temporary buildings and the original building was demolished making way for the new showroom area to be added on to the new service building. ID Automotive oversaw the construction of the new facility, and sourced competitive bids for interior lighting, furnishings, and the equipment for the workshop build out, including a high volume car wash. A unique feature of the facility is the in house customer cafe. The Roast Office Cafe is a partnership between the dealership and a local restaurateur. The dealer provides the space and a built out customer service counter including refrigerated display cases, sink and storage cabinets. The Restauranteur provides staffing, and a hot and cold drinks as well as a fresh local menu of baked goods and preprepared light meals. The restauranteur has gone one step further and developed a series of unique coffee based drinks named after Toyota vehicles such as “Supra” and “Tundra”. The Roast Office Cafe has allowed the dealership has become a destination for local service customers.
